PCIS's purpose is to give maximum transparency to a project or portfolio of projects
It gives managers control of the project/s by enabling targeted project management decisions to be made in a timely manner, to give the best outcome for the project/s. Problems can be overcome before they fully manifest.
In general terms, PCIS is suitable for medium to larger or more complex projects (or portfolios of projects) - circa $50M to several billion and larger.
